Dr Labs was started by Dr. K.K. Garg MD [Pathology & Bacteriology] in year 1988 at a prominent East Delhi location of Vikas Marg, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. At that time East Delhi comprised of only Krishna Nagar, Shahadra, Laxmi Nagar and Shakarpur, while now it is encompasses a very large area.

There were no labs run by qualified Pathologists in this area. Dr. K.K. Garg was the pioneer and he established the first independent lab run by a qualified postgraduate pathologist doctor. Since then East Delhi has grown manifolds in the area and so has Dr. Garg Labs grown in its coverage and diagnostic work. In the year 1992 another lab was set up in Dilshad Garden to cater to the diagnostic needs of millions of people who come to GTB Hospital for treatment and for the residents of the area.

Dr Garg Labs has 2 fully equipped laboratories, at Vikas Marg and Dilshad Garden besides more than 50 Associate Labs and Collection Centers. We at DGL cater to the entire East Delhi and neighboring NCR upto Meerut / Bulandshahr / etc.

All tests are conducted in strict accordance with standard protocols complying with national and international regulations. Quality controls provided by reputed international companies are used every day at pre determined intervals before commencement of actual testing of patient samples to ensure that the test results are accurate. Thereafter we review Levy Jennings Control Charts at frequent interval to detect areas requiring improvement. 

External Quality Control 

DGL: Dr Garg Labs is regular participant in Inter Lab Proficiency Testing conducted by CMC, Vellore, VILAC of APP, Delhi, AIIMS etc.

Sample Collection & Transportation 
All the sample collected at different collection centers are transported to the central processing labs, at Vikas Marg / Dilshad Garden. Utmost care is taken in labeling the samples for patient’s identity and the samples are transported as per required conditions by highly professional staff.
