Did you know that even the best makeup routine can be done in less than 20 minutes? Here we tell you how to get the season’s latest trends — a gold and grey-themed look – in a jiffy.
Step 1: Get all your stuff in place.
For the gold and grey look, you will need the following products:
- An illuminating foundation
- Gold eyeshadow
- Grey eyeshadow
- Dark grey or black eyeliner
- Kajal pencil
- A soft hued blush
- A lipstick in a subtle shade like soft pink coral or nude
- An eye brush
- Round smudge brush
- Eyelash curler
Step 2: Start with your face.
Keeping your eyes the center of attraction and try doing up the rest of your face in a simple manner. Use an illuminating foundation, which will even out your skin tone, brighten up your face, giving it a luminous glow. Apply the foundation in a round, circular motion with your finger tips, till it covers all the blemishes on your face.
Time taken: 3 minutes
Step 3: Focus on your eyes.
This is the most important phase during a make up sesion, so spend at least 10 minutes on it. Start by applying the gold eye shadow all over your upper eyelid in a uniform manner. Then, take the grey eye shadow and blend it with the gold from the lash line to the crease. Pick a shade of grey based on your skin tone. If you are very fair, go for a pale or medium grey and if you are dusky, dark grey, charcoal or even black will work for you. To add a smoky smudged effect, use a round smudge brush. Once you’re done setting your eye shadow, take the black eyeliner and coat your upper eyelid with a thin and fine line. Use a dark kohl pencil for your lower eyelid – you can go as thick as you like. But avoid going too thick if you have bad under-eye circles. Then, take your eyelash curler and curl your lashes dramatically. Finish with at least two coats of deep mascara.
Time taken: 10 minutes
Step 4: Put on some blush.
Once your eyes are ready, put on some blush on your cheekbones, from the apple of your cheeks to your ears. Make sure the blush is not too dark and does not overshadow your dramatic eyes.
Time taken: 1 minute
Step 5: Colour your lips.
Finish off your makeup with some soft lip colour. Again, keep the shade as close to natural as possible – you don’t want to end up looking like a circus clown.
Time taken: 1 minute
So, here you have it – an ultra-glam look in just 15 minutes. Be a diva and rock that party!
