Ryan's Bio

Mr Western Australia and Mr World Runner Up (physique)

Ryan Cannell comes to Healthkart Connect, as COO of ESN and brings his immense knowledge for you. Read why fitness is more of a passion for him:

“Fitness has always been a passion and I'm one of the fortunate few to make this passion my career.

My journey started 15 years ago when I first stepped on stage in a district level bodybuilding contest. Though I placed third; my hunger to always improve stemmed from this competition.

15 years and titles like Mr Western Australia, and Mr World runner up (physique) later; that hunger hasn't been satiated.

I am now a proud part of the ESN family, in the capacity of a sponsored athlete.” - Ryan Cannell

Carbs induce the pump in your body and reducing it will make it harder to get a pump. Shredding will however require you to reduce carbs and this will also reveal your abs.

Do cardio and eat in a caloric deficit and weight train regularly. Aim to lose around 0.5kg/week and your body fat will go down.

Hi, could you explain the concept of muscle maturity. Also, the difference between muscle fiber density and muscle fiber thickness, with how to improve both.
Ryan Cannell's picture
ryan-cannell Aug 27, 2015
muscle maturity is occurs when a person does weight training consistently over a period of time. this leads to muscle fiber density. both can be improved through resistance & weight training, aiming to stimulate fast twitch fibers.

depends upon your main goal what you want to do , if you are looking for buliking then go for mass gainres which having protein : carb :: 1:3-4 or just muscle shapness then go for whey.

My right chest is slightly bigger than that of left one. How to deal with it? Can you please Post your workout routine?

ryan-cannell Aug 27, 2015
Follow unilateral movements will dumbbells and performing cable movements with an effort to consciously work the weaker muscle. Spot reducing fat is difficult. The body metabolism will be higher the moment your muscle mass increases

Please make up your mind first get yourself into gym and start training with light weight. I would suggest you to go for circuit training first couple of week and normal schedule later.

some questions i want to ask you 1. Essential Elements For A Successful Bulking Phase? 2.Morning nutrition (exactly what to take and eat?) 3. How to get into fitness industry? 4. How Long Should My Workout Be?
Ryan Cannell's picture
ryan-cannell Aug 27, 2015
1. Correct ratio of protein to carbs and carb timing is important. 2. Take slow release carbs like oatmeal and sweet potato 3. Start improving your physique and affiliate yourself with like minded people and get a certification in training and/or physiotherapy 4. Anything beyond an hour your body will tend to go catabolic

I am 178 cms tall, 28 years old with around 15-17 % body fat. I have been working out for last 3 yaers with supplementation. Unfortunately, I could not get my nutrition in line with my workouts. I like to lift heavy and include supersets/dropsets. But my nutrition is messed up, partly because of money constraint and partly coz I am a foody. I have started doing a little bit of HIIT. Kindly suggest me a nutrition plan which I could stick to for rest of my life, to gain muscle mass while staying lean.

protein does not directly contribute to a substantial weight increase, it's the corresponding diet that does that. I will be uploading my diet plan and training schedule after this. you can try that out.

Which fatburner is the best for women ?
Ryan Cannell's picture
ryan-cannell Aug 27, 2015
If you've never used a fat burner before then the best way is to use a natural fat burner. A green coffee bean or a green tea extract.

How to loose fat in obliques and lower back ?
Ryan Cannell's picture
ryan-cannell Aug 27, 2015
The concept of spot fat reduction is slightly stretched. Some places are harder to lose than others and I would recommend you to try HIIT (High intensity cardio) and on an empty stomach.
