Sachin,

You can work out for as long as 1.5 hours or even 2 hours. If you're worried about muscle breakdown have a BCAA supplement intra workout (during your workout).

Thanks!

Cortisol is the most catabolic hormone in your body and is released at times of mental and physical stress. It is involved in the breakdown of muscle for energy and encourages the storage of fat. Cortisol converts amino acids to carbohydrates and prevents protein synthesis .If you exercise for more than 60 minutes, even at a low intensity, the body's glycogen stores (fuel) will decrease significantly and the increased stress will cause more cortisol release.A diet lacking essential micronutrients and macro nutrients may increase cortisol levels.Take a high quality multivitamin supplement to keep down cortisol levels.Cortisol is best controlled by cardio sessions shorter than 30 – 45 minutes. Going to the gym should be part of your day –not the whole day. 3 grams of Vitamin C a day helps lower cortisol levels. BCAA helps in reducing the muscle fatigue and muscle soreness during the workout and prevents muscle protein synthesis.
