Does creatine really help ? and in what way ?

i am quite well build , my workout routine is regular and currently weighing 60kgs and my height is 5'4". i took a 10lbs mass gainer Scitec nutrition JUMBO , now shifting over to ON 100% whey gold std. So i was thinking of adding some creatine to my workout .
