Is cardio session as important as hardcore session to grow muscles and get shredded?

I am a average person weighing 72kg and a height of 5.8'. My goal is to build a physic which is massive but with a very small waist and symmetrical abdominal muscles . I want to know whether a cardio session before workout really have anything to do with muscle building or getting shredded?

Yes,Cardio is one of the important part of our workout, Do your cadrio session after your workout for best results ( 20-30 minutes for shredded)
