Muscle gain

Dear sir I am 35 year old male with regular gym goer from 2 years I used ON serious mass 6lbs and 12lbs with personal training, I gained just 5 kgs in these 2 months. I need some suggestions from you as should I go for ON Gold standard Whey protein or should I still stick with mass gainer as my biceps has not even incresed by 1/2 inch in these 2 months.
