I have heard of the same but it has not been proven in practice. Technically creatine is best absorbed post workout but it can also be taken any other time of the day. So if you are worried you can take creatine at some other time of the day and Glutamine post workout.

What is difference in glutamine and BCAA?
Arun Bhattacharya's picture
arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
BCAA's are essential amino acids whereas Glutamine are non-essential amino acids. Glutamine helps with your immunity and is a bowel system activator whereas BCAA's help in triggering protein synthesis.

HI. i am taking 1scoop whey gold, 5 gram creatine & 1-2 tabs of opti-men daily. I am 6ft and 77 kgs and my target is 75kg. Can i add fish oil in my diet to reduce 2-3 more kgs? Is it really beneficial in fat burning?
Arun Bhattacharya's picture
arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
Why is your target weight 75kgs ? Focus on your overall body composition (Muscle mass and bone density should increase and fat mass should decrease ) rather than just your body weight.

What else can i add in my supplement list? One more thing, i take ON creatine with ON whey protein post workout and it makes me feel bloated for few hours. Is there any other type of creatine which would be suitable in my case?

Fish oils will primarily help you with conditioning your joints, hormonal health and organ health. They are not very effective when it comes to losing fat but they can support healthy fat loss.

One question is this is there any side effect to take whey protein supplement without workout?
Arun Bhattacharya's picture
arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
Whey protein is a milk protein. It's not going to make you put on any weight as long as it fits into your macros. (Macros : Daily Protein, Carbohydrate and Fat intake)

What about the rest of your diet ? Breakfast ? Dinner ? Lunch ? Remember, what you do in the remaining 23hrs of your day has a bigger impact on your body growth than what you do in the gym and in your postworkout.

i take milk and almonds as pre breakfast followed by egg and bread. Then in lunch I take pulse salad and Chapati or sometimes egg whites with bread and milk.In dinner I take normal pulse/chickpeas/Rajma with chapati and salad. My metabolism rate is high and I feel hungry quite often. In my workout 2 days for each body part like shoulders, chest, back then rest on last day of week.I was suggested BCAA and glutamine by my trainer but I heard about their side effects. Are they safe to use please suggest.

What is the dosage for ON serious mass...and can I have it after a freehand workout(not high intensive workout) ?
Arun Bhattacharya's picture
arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
I would suggest you look into your diet first and then adjust your intake of Serious Mass accordingly. One serving of serious mass has 1250 calories. Start with half serving and focus on your diet.

Hi , Which one is best casein or whey, or do we need to take both for the good lean body.(182-cm height and 81 kg Weight)
Arun Bhattacharya's picture
arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
As a basic protein source go for whey, but for the best results add casein and whey to your shakes in a 1:1 ratio.

My weight has been static for quite a long time. I am taking about 3000 cal consisting peanut butter, brown breads, eggs, bananas, chicken, oatmeal. (In all 6 meals) Also i am taking 5 gm of creatine each day before workout. I can feel the rise in energy level. But there is hardly any impact on my weight giving my regime. I'm 19 yrs 6'1 and 59 kg

arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
Start actually counting your calories using a food scale. Also remember to take creatine after your workout with simple sugars rather than before it.

Sir I wanna bulk up...should I prefer mass gainer or whey
Arun Bhattacharya's picture
arun-bhattacharya Dec 11, 2015
Start with your basic diet. Get a balanced diet in place. Lots of lean protein such as eggs, chicken breast, etc if you are a non-veg. In case you are a veg you can consume Soy/Tofu/Paneer/Legumes/ Pulses, etc as good sources of protein. Eat clean sources of carbs such sweet potatoes/brown rice and good fats from dry fruits/Olive oil/Canola oil, etc. You go ahead and add a post workout Whey protein shake as well. Try this before you add a mass gainer.

Creatine Monohydrate is the safest supplement because there are numerous studies behind it. Always go for authentic supplements and don't forget to keep your water intake high.
