Should i take supplements to gain height and lose weight.

I am a male of 19 years and i am unsatisfied with my height (5 feets 5 inches). Also i am overweight (102 kg). Should i take L-Arginine and L-Lysine Hydrochloride (Research tells that they stimulate the HGH production).  Aslo i am in the process to loose my weight. I am dieting and do exercise every alternate day. So, should i take supplements?

Hi Jason,

I am glad to know that you have already started the process of losing weight. While you have mentioned that you are dieting, i will suggest that hacing balanced 5-6 small meals is always a better idea than to go on a diet. This will increase your body metabolism. Trust me even with 5-6 meals one can actually consumer 1200-1500 calories.

In terms of training, i would suggest that you should increase the intensity and the no of days you work out for. Also inclued activites like swimming, zumba, ccling to the routine.

In terms of supplements, you have to keep in mind that protein quotient in your diet has to be high. So you can actually go for an isolate protein which will give you quality proteins with no carbs or fats.

hi jason,

u r a teen so u dnt need any supplements to increase ur hgh or testosterone. as brother rakul said increase ur workout days. try pure whey isolate n if u want u can take glutamine (some studies show that glutamine taking before bed increases hgh production n as well as helps in recovery. its optional)
