1. Why did you decide to transform?
I decided to transform because I wanted to take control of my health and overall well-being. I was tired of feeling sluggish and wanted to live a more active and fulfilling life.
I had been overweight/chubby for almost all of my childhood and teenage years. I knew I wanted to change the way I looked but I always lacked clarity on how to start and would find some excuse to start later. Like any other fat/skinny person, I was body-shamed and bullied all the time. All this would add up to me feeling insecure about myself.
2. How did you accomplish your goals?
I started by setting realistic and achievable milestones and I stayed committed to them. It was a slow and steady process but the results were worth it. I also prepared a workout and a diet plan for myself from all the information that I could gather online and followed it for about 7-8 months.
3. Training routine that helped you achieve your goals
At the beginning of my transformation (2020), I stuck to only at-home workouts. I would do follow-along HIIT workouts. Once the lockdown ended, I started going to the gym and did strength training which I have been loving since.
4. Which supplements did you take?
I believe in getting most of my nutrients from whole foods but I did incorporate some basic supplements like whey protein and a multivitamin into my diet to support my training.
5. What challenges did you face during your transformation?
I faced moments of self-doubt and plateaus but I reminded myself of my “why” and stayed motivated. Nutrition discipline was also a big challenge but I learned to enjoy healthier foods.
6. Suggestion for future transformers
My suggestion for future transformers is to set clear, realistic goals, stay consistent, and don’t compare your journey to others. Everyone’s path is unique; so focus on your progress. Progress takes time and it’s important to focus on your growth.
