Want to gain muscle and reduce belly fat

I have been doing my training since last 5 months regulary, from last 2 months I am doing my cardio in mornning and weigth training in evening for my goal. Is it possible to gain muscle and reduce belly fat simultaneously, because I have read that both are not possible together. If not then what should I do to achive my both goals, kindly suggest?
