Through a strainer, remove any extra water. Sprinkle it with salt and sugar, mix\/toss it well, and set it aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Heat two teaspoons of oil in a pan. After adding the mustard seeds, add the cumin seeds, green chilies, curry leaves, peanuts, and a dash of asafoetida after they begin to sputter. It should take about 30 to 40 seconds for them to sizzle until the chilies become crisp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Onions should be saut\u00e9ed till transparent after being added in chopped form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Add salt and sliced potatoes (add salt only for potatoes). Mix together and boil potatoes covered until they are soft. It will take about three to four minutes. To avoid sticking, stir occasionally between each batch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Add turmeric powder. Mix thoroughly and cook for one minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> Pour in the poha that has been soaked. Mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 7: <\/strong>&nbsp;Cook for around 2-3 minutes. Combine the lemon juice, dry grated coconut, and finely chopped coriander leaves in a mixing bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 8:<\/strong> Turn off the heat and thoroughly combine the ingredients. Simply gently wash them under running water and set them in a strainer to drain excess water.<\/li><li>To add some variety, garnish the poha with 1\/4 cup pomegranate seeds and sev.<\/li><li>If you don&#8217;t have a strainer, simply sprinkle rice flakes with a small splash of water and let them soak. Don&#8217;t use too much water. Poha should be damp but not wet after soaking.<\/li><li>In a sieve, rinse the poha until it becomes soft. Take a flake and press it between your thumb and index finger to see whether it&#8217;s done.
