It helps spot the actual bands or check any unusual swelling, limb position, or missing digits.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fetal_MRI\"><\/span><b>Fetal MRI<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In some cases, the band or fibre is so tiny that it can\u2019t be detected through ultrasound. So, in complicated pregnancies, an MRI may be done for a clearer picture of the baby&#8217;s condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Treatment_and_Management_Options\"><\/span><strong>Treatment and Management Options<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The treatment and management of amniotic band syndrome depend on the timing of detection and severity, before or after birth, as explained below:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Before_Birth\"><\/span><b>Before Birth<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If it is detected early and is found to be serious, fetal surgery may be required to release the constriction.
