Tea tree oil is extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca Alternifolia. It reduces skin inflammation (anti inflammatory) and helps prevent bacterial infection (antibacterial) on the skin. Using tea tree oil regularly on your skin can also reduce irritation, swelling,  and redness.

Make sure you do not apply the oil directly to your skin. Mix it with your serum or moisturizer for an effective result. Consider doing a patch test before you include it in your skincare routine.

Diet Changes to Make for the Treatment of Pimples

By making certain changes to your diet and lifestyle, you can improve the health of your skin.

1. Zinc Supplement

Zinc plays a huge role in healing wounds and reducing inflammation on your skin. Therefore, it is a powerful ingredient when it comes to treatment for pimples. People with lower levels of zinc are more likely to have pimples on their faces and other areas of their bodies. Around 40 mg of zinc can reduce acne-causing bacteria on your skin. However, make sure you consult a dermatologist before adding any kind of supplements to your diet.

2. Omega 3 Fatty Acids

Omega 3 fatty acids have several health benefits. These days, most people lack fatty acids because of an improper lifestyle. Consuming enough fatty acids is important as far as treatment for pimples at home is concerned. Fish oils are high in omega 3 fatty acids which decrease inflammatory signs and reduce the chances of spreading acne on your skin. Consume more flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, salmon fish, sardines, and anchovies to increase your intake of omega 3 acids through your diet.

3. Limit Your Daily Dairy Intake
