    About 3 month dr did a endoscopy ultrasound and found out fatty liver and inflamation on the gallbladder, but he never mentioned any recommendation as what foods to avoid or
    what foods to take, neigther any medication or vitamins. I just found your article very interesting and now I’m worry . . . I never used alcohol, stop smoking about 30 years ago

    I have read your article and find it helpful. I have symptoms of bloating since last 6 months. Finally went to the doctor, did some blood test and they did find slightly high level of fatty liver and cholesterol is medium high. I have two beautiful kids and don’t want to leave them that soon. My question is… I it true your body’s organs will repair them selves in time??

    Hi this was interesting. However you did not mention that long term use of medication can cause damage to the liver (and in my case also the kidneys). Most health professionals direct the blame to diet, alcohol, smoking, and exercise… I have been on long term pain relief and felt really ill my main symptoms: tiredness, extreme weakness, and the most important SEARING BURNING heat body wide. My gp refused to investigate saying this was nerve damage I change my gp and was granted blood tests thankfully this may have been in time.
    I quite smoking and drinking 16 year ago and very rarely eat take away food yet this is what professionals accused me off… it takes guts to stand up to these people and inform them of the long term pain relief use!
    the past few months I have under gone intense massage/holistic therapy to aid full body detox, taken milk thistle vitamin c 1000mg, vit E… I used lots of alternative approaches to get to where I am now starting to feel alive. I have started using toning tables to help with exercise as I still feel very weak but I am so glad to say I am feeling it is working and able to do more each week.
    I really hope you may add to your list of causes the matter of medication which especially those with Gilberts syndrome (which I also discovered I have) really needs to be added… many thanks
